June 2015

After a big nudge from Phil and a small nudge from my mom I am going to attempt to get my blog up to date before the new year.  June was such a fun-filled month with so many good pictures and memories that I think I was subconsciously avoiding documenting it all.  To make it easier I will keep the captions to a minimum. Above is the spider jump in Jackson Hole.

Lizard Creek Campground on Jackson Lake in the Tetons.  Idyllic.

Transitioning to no naps is hard

Cooking spaghetti for supper

Kids bought pocket knives for souvenirs and spent lots of time "shredding" sticks.  Jack managed to drop his in Jenny Lake so he was on his second knife here.

Hike to Hidden Falls after a shuttle boat to the other side of Jenny Lake

More shredding

Canoeing on Jenny Lake

Bathing in Jackson Lake (no showers)

Kids LOVED every part of camping

The geysers.  We spent the last night at the Old Faithful Lodge, on my bucket list.

We swung by Vail and met up with Bishops for a couple nights at his parents place there.  Kids had a blast at the clubhouse pool.

This is in June, believe it or not, in Taos.  We were not dressed for the spring snow we encountered.

Jack has been wanting to write more and more.  He came up with the purple vertical inscription on the wall:  "Hevee Metol" with musical notes.

Discovered and truly amazing campground we will be returning to:  Ridgway State Park in Southwestern Colorado

This is our campsite!!

Probably reading a Box Car Children mystery
