September 2015

Jack's early birthday cake at Grandma June and Grandpa Fred's house since they were going to be in Spain on Jack's actual birthday

Jack can read!  He is reading the hints to the treasure hunt that Grandma made.

At Tamaya Resort for Labor Day weekend in Albuquerque

Jack has really taken to the cello.  Not only does he love it, but he catches on very quickly and has a good ear.

It's harder for me to coach cello than violin obviously, but Jack really seems to like playing "duets" with me.

Jack wanted to have his birthday party at the Roller Rink this year.  He tore around like a maniac on his scooter.

Sasha getting low in the Limbo game

Jack loved being on a team with one of his best friends from school, Liam.

Hoping for lots of raspberry custard pies this winter

August 2015

We were in Michigan for 2 weeks this year.  The second week Phil's whole family joined us.  An evening walk down to the pier is one of my favorite traditions

Piling in the van to go run down Sand Mountain after dinner one night

These kids were like sea gulls attacking this bag of popcorn for a bedtime snack

Grandma explaining the rules of the treasure hunt she had created.  Michigan sweatshirts, candy, juice, and other snacks awaited them at the end of the hunt up in the woods at the old picnic table.

Jumping rope was a popular activity this year

As was tubing again

The extended Smucker family got together for a few meals

In the sailboat cabin

Phil is in his element

We took 2 boats up the coast to the Big Ape sand dune
