Sasha's 3rd week
Sasha is changing so much every day it seems. Already we notice how much more alert she is and how much better she can control her floppy head. Some highlights of the week included her first real tub bath now that her umbilical cord has fallen off and also getting to meet her older cousin Mary who visited us from Cleveland this weekend.

Sasha's first week at home
We've been glad to have visitors and help early on. Fred and June were here over the weekend to keep things going while Sasha kept us up at night!
Mandy and Jon stopped by to visit with Noah, some of many early visitors that Sasha's enjoyed. She really dressed up here to impress Noah. And oh yeah, you can see he was impressed.
Jan was here to help us over the week and give Jess some time for sanity. Sasha seems to be sleeping for all these photos, but she is elusive at night and somehow manages to sleep while keeping us up a bit.
A guaranteed way to get her to sleep is this wrap. Just like a few weeks ago back in the womb!

Sasha is home with us!
It has come to my attention that some people actually read this blog! We are certainly not up to par with most of our friends for its quality, but we'll keep it going, with its bush-league inadequate formatting and all!
Sasha is home with us and we are finally getting into a routine. We are SO happy for her to be with us, and we've been very grateful for the support of friends and family. It's fun to have people see photos of her, and we will continue to post them both here and on flickr. The flickr account has every photo as on this, along with many many more (though only several are public, so login is necessary). If you have not already received a login link to access all of our flickr pictures, please email us and we will correct that. It's been fun to be in touch with everybody, and that has given us a lot of encouragement through the hard times, and made us laugh more during the fun times.

On January 6th at 6:40 pm, Jessica completed her labor with the birth of our daughter, Sasha Larie Smucker.
We are delighted that the labor and delivery went quite well, and are currently recovering at the hospital together. We will add more news in the future, but for now please enjoy these photos.
We greatly appreciate all the support of family and friends!
Mom and baby are doing very well!
