November 2016

I scored multiple birthday cakes this year.  My family rocks!

Sasha was a narrator in the children's theater production of Aladdin this fall.  She rehearsed after school for 2 days a week and gave 10 performances in all.  It was intense but she really got excited for the shows.

Sadly we said goodbye to Andy, Jennifer, Alex, and Serena Gabrys after an 8 year friendship.  They are happily resettled in their native  British Columbia now.

Every now and then Sasha convinces Jack to play her in chess.

Our "puddlejumper" (the kids love to use that word) that we took from San Juan to Culebra.  We spent 3 nights at a small boutique hotel there with mom, dad, Megan and Isaac, and Isaac's family before their wedding which took place over Thanksgiving weekend.  We hung out at several beaches there and had big family dinners every night.  We all got along great and are excited that our families are uniting.

Flamenco Beach on Culebra has the clearest, bluest water we have ever seen.

Back in Old San Juan for the actual wedding.  We stayed at the gorgeous colonial El Convento Hotel.

Such good travelers

Megan and Isaac's wedding day, November 27, 2016

The happy couple at the reception.  The Puerto Rican pork, beans, platanos, and cake were scrumptious and the room was so elegant with dozens of roses, murals on the wall, and a guitar trio.  Truly magical!

The kids never knew swim-up bars existed until today.  Life will never be the same.
